For the second class, we celebrated Hiroe and Mana's birthdays. Happy Birthday Girls!! We played Sequence and the conversation was "Whose jacket (shirt, sweatshirt, shirt) is this? This is Miyuu's jacket."
For the first class, Candice continued to work on the new songs with the kids. We played Bingo and the conversation for the day was "I can walk (run, skip, jump)
For the 2nd class, the kids gave Rich birthday cards. Thank you so much for remembering:) Ayane was absent so we waited until Tuesday to celebrate the birthdays for the month. The conversation was about clothing. "What is she wearing? She's wearing a blouse (a dress, a shirt, pants, shorts)."
For the Monday afternoon class, Candice taught the kids some songs with dance moves. The letter was "W" and the conversation was "up, down, in, out, turn around.
Candice and the kids had a surprise birthday party for Rich yesterday. A friend of ours, Kyoko made a delicious and the room was decorated. Everyone hid and yelled "Happy Birthday" when Rich walked. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.
When the weather is nice, the preschool kids in the morning usually go to the park on Thursdays and last Thursday was no different. The kids enjoyed playing and drawing with chalk in the sand.
For the Wednesday and Thursday classes, the conversation in the red book was "He is tall (short, pretty, ugly, young old). The conversation in the yellow book was I want peaches(grapes, pancakes). He wants....
Last Tuesday, we celebrated Rina's Birthday. Rina turned 6 on September 17th. Happy Birthday Rina. As for the class, the letter was "Q" and the conversation for the day was...Ouch! I hurt my head (knee, nose, elbow, hand).
For the 2:30-4:30 class, we did some singing and dancing, the letter for the day was the letter "L" so we practiced pronouncing some words with the letter. We also spent time in our "Teaching Children To Read" book. The kids made a ladybug craft and our conversation for the day involved describing different shapes.
For the 4:45-6:15 class, we played a game in which the children had to make words with the first and last letters given to them. This was a lot of fun. The conversation for the day was "Which one do you like?" "I like the ____ one. (striped, polka dot, new, big, etc)
